First WID.world Conference: preliminary program available

The preliminary program of the First WID.world Conference, which will be hosted by the Paris School of Economics on December 14th and 15th, 2017, is ready. You can access it through this link, where we will also publish any revised version. [latest revision published on 18 October 2017]

The conference is structured along three axes:

(i) The releasing of the first issue of the World Inequality Report. The report will provide global estimates of income and wealth inequality drawing on the latest evidence gathered in WID.world, and will discuss implications for future research and for the global policy debate on rising inequality.

(ii) A session in honor of Tony Atkinson in the afternoon of December 14th.

(iii) Presentations of research papers on income and wealth inequality, as well as on progress made in the DINA-Distributional National Accounts agenda.

Requests to attend the conference. If you wish to attend the conference, please send an email to first.conference@wid.world with your name and affiliation. Note that it may not be possible to accept all requests if demand exceeds the space available.

Organization details: There are no fees. Speakers and other participants need to make their own travel arrangements, with the exception of authors who have been granted financial assistance (and who have already been contacted). For all enquiries, please send an email to first.conference@wid.world.

Looking forward to seeing you in Paris.
