Funding & partners

The World Wealth and Income Database, WID.world, is funded by public and non-profit institutions. Over the 2010-2020 period, 28% of the budget is financed by the universities, research centers and statistics offices hosting WID.world fellows, 20% is provided by the Paris School of Economics and its partner institutions (in particular the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the Ecole Normale Supérieure), 20% by the Ford Foundation, 16% by a grant from the European Research Council, 8% by the Agence Nationale pour la Recherche (ANR) of France, 5% by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom through an ESRC-DFID joint fund grant, and 3% by the Institute for New Economic Thinking.
