The 2022 World Inequality Report offers the most up-to-date and complete outlook of global inequality. It presents the latest data on income and wealth gaps around the world, as well as new findings on gender and environmental inequalities. It demonstrates forcefully that extreme inequalities of our societies are the result of political choices and are not inevitable.

The report includes a foreword by 2019 economic Nobel prize laureates Abhijit Banerjee & Esther Duflo, and the work is based on the collaborative work of a hundred economists affiliated to the WID.world database.
